Eastern Mud Snake

The mud snake is a large (up to 81 in), non-venomous, highly-aquatic snake that is seldom seen because of its secretive habits. It preys mostly on giant aquatic salamanders in the genera Siren and Amphiuma, but it also eats other amphibians.
